This July and August, the elections for the Council of Nurses and Midwives (CNM) will be taking place. For the First Level Nursing category, the Malta Union of Midwives and Nurses (MUMN) is supporting three experienced and dedicated candidates: William Grech, Geoffrey Axiak, and Mark Bonanno. Voting documents will be sent by post during the last week of July and must be returned using the enclosed self-addressed envelope. The CNM serves as the regulatory body for the nursing and midwifery professions in Malta. Its key responsibilities include the registration of nurses and midwives, overseeing disciplinary matters, setting educational standards, promoting continuous professional development (CPD), and ensuring the highest levels of professional conduct and ethics are maintained.
