MUMN said today it is concerned with the increase of Covid cases being recorded on a daily basis. Such increase will definitely have a negative impact on the health sector, including primary care, elderly institutions and MDH to the detriment of the patients and the staff.

MUMN withdraws all directives on influenza vaccinations

The Malta Union of Midwives and Nurses have withdrawn all directives relating to the influenza vaccinations, putting their industrial action which delayed the administration of the vaccines to patients to an end.

Nurses want proper burial for victims of COVID-19

The nurses’ union has called for victims of COVID-19 to be buried with dignity because it is safe to do so, saying the laws being enforced date back to the bubonic plague of the 1500s.

“The MUMN cannot understand why this human suffering is being tolerated,” union president Paul Pace said in a letter to Superintendent of Public Health Charmaine Gauci.
