MUMN would like to inform that 8th September is World Physiotherapy Day. The World’s Confederation of Physiotherapists decided to focus on the role of physiotherapists in rehabilitation after COVID-19 for this year’s theme.
The role of Physiotherapists in the treatment and management of people affected by COVID-19 is crucial, exercise can play an important part in a person’s recovery after COVID-19.

MUMN gives ultimatum to govt to initiate the concept of meal allowances
The Malta Union of Midwives and Nurses, MUMN said that if an agreement is not reached by Wednesday between Steward Health Care and the Health Department to initiate the concept of Meal Allowances for MUMN Members working at the Gozo General Hospital, St. Luke’s Hospital and Karen Grech Rehabilitation Hospital, then the MUMN will have to issue industrial directives.

MUMN reaches agreement with government; nurses in quarantine to be paid Sunday allowances
The Malta Union of Midwives and Nurses has reached an agreement with the Health Department, in collaboration of the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister, over a number of issues. One part of the agreement will see nurses on quarantine leave be paid their Sunday allowances.

MUMN and government reach agreement - directives suspended
MUMN and the government have reached an agreement on the union’s requests regarding mass events/organised events and other simultaneous issues related to the working conditions of the healthcare professionals.After a 7 hour marathon negotiations with the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister an agreement has been reached. This contrasts with the position taken by the Medical Assiociation of Malta, which decided to go on with its directives.
